About Western Allergy Services:
Next year marks the 40th anniversary for Western Allergy. In 1972 Western Allergy Services began when 2 Pharmacists saw a local need for a reliable supplier of allergy extracts and diagnostic material. Over the years Western Allergy grew to be the premier supplier of allergy immunotherapy, diagnostic and environmental control products in Canada.
Innovation has been key to our success, keeping a close watch on the development of treatments for allergy around the world, following the latest clinical work and therapeutic discoveries. As early as 1996 Western Allergy kept a close watch on the development of Sublingual Immunotherapy in Europe, and launched the first clinical trial of its kind in Canada using SLIT, published in the Annals of Allergy in 2004. Western Allergy in association with Quantum Labs now offers Allergists custom compounded sublingual immunotherapy, a first for Canada.
Working with Dr Harry Morrow-Brown in the UK, Western Allergy brought his unique skin testing device to North America under the brand name Allersharp, which continues to be the preferred choice of Allergists, as published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
More recently Western Allergy Services has been awarded the exclusive distributorship of the groundbreaking, clinically proven product for the treatment of Atopic Dermatitus, Dermasilk Theraputic Clothing. A class 1 medical device that is literally changing lives.
